Clinique released their summer 2008 collection in April, featuring a "Long-last Bronze" look. The key with Clinique's summer collection is two-fold; shimmer and long-lasting. The colors are perfect for summer time and the assortment of long-lasting products are phenomenal. So this summer you can apply your makeup once and then actually enjoy yourself outside without the fear of a makeup melt down.
Various products in the summer 2008 collection were provided by Clinique Corporate Office, for my review.
A Summer Face
Shimmering Tones Powder Quad in Golden Bronze(Compare Prices). This is a limited edition compact, featuring 4 fabulous shimmery summer shades that you can wear on both your eyes and your cheeks. You can use them individually or swirl them together for a great summer look. I didn't get to try this one, but the colors look really great for all skin tones.Summer Eyes

Quick Eyes Cream Shadow(Compare Prices) is an all new long wearing cream eyeshadow for summer. Clinique stated that it will last up to 10 hours, will not crease or transfer, and is water resistant. Well, Clinique's claims are absolutely TRUE. I tried this shadow, in various colors, and it really did last all day without creasing. I tried to smudge it away with my fingertip and it stayed in place. And at the end of the day I couldn't just wipe it off; I actually had to wash it off with my facial cleanser. It's available in 7 fabulous shades and is set at the suggested price of $15.00.
The other 2 items for great summer eyes are Lash Power Mascara(Compare Prices) and the limited edition Brush-On Cream Liner in Bronze(Compare Prices). I have not used the mascara before but Clinique states that it will stay in place while making your lashes look natural. I did not get a chance to use the cream liner either, but the Bronze shade is limited edition only, while they always have 4 other shades year round. The mascara is retailing for $14 and the limited edition liner is $14.50.
Lasting Summer Lips
Long Last Glosswear with SPF 15(Compare Prices) truly lives up to its name. I got to try some of the shades in this new long-lasting lip gloss and can attest that it does last extremely long. Clinique states that it will last up to 8 hours, but I would have to say that mine lasted up to 6 with normal talking and drinking. Considering lip gloss normally slips off the lips within minutes, I think that Clinique is on to something here. You get a great gloss that stays in place plus the added benefit of SPF 15 for protection. There is no bad taste or smell and even though the gloss is more sticky than creamy, if you apply the right amount the stickiness isn't even noticeable. This moisturizing and comfortable lip gloss is available in 7 fun summer shades for around $14 each.A Summer Body
