Guide Review - Boots Instant Eye Reviver
With such a low price point, you would assume that you get what you pay for. Fortunately for Boots and their customers, this does not ring true. Finally there is a cream available that will help with puffiness, dark circles, and very fine lines, yet it won't break the bank when you buy it. As a bonus, the cream is loaded with lots of natural ingredients, such as apple and ginseng (to help protect against free radicals) and vitamin A (to help with cell renewal). They also throw in an ingredient called white lupin peptides, which apparently helps to firm and boost collagen.
The texture of the cream is very light and non-greasy, plus it absorbs into the skin around the eye quickly so you don't have to wait to apply your makeup. There is also a very minimal cooling effect when you initially apply the cream. Not everything can be sunshine and roses though. The downside is that even though there are light diffusers added to help minimize the appearance of darkness, there is no vitamin K, which is known to help diminish dark circles. Also, if you are hoping for your fines lines or crows feet to be erased within weeks, you may be disappointed. Even though there was some slight firming around the eyes, the fine lines under the eyes didn't change much.
In the end, this is a very good eye cream for the price. Compared to some of the higher end creams that guarantee the same results, Boots Instant Eye Reviver is the winner. I also found that you can also apply this cream very lightly over your makeup during the day, without having to touch up afterwards. The biggest bonus with this cream is that a little bit really does go a long way. Most eye creams suggest a pea-sized amount to be used for both eyes, but with Boots Instant Eye Reviver you could cut that amount in half, if not more.
