Overall Sonia Kashuk's Perfecting Liquid Makeup is a really great foundation, especially for the price. It is great for both dry skin and combination skin tones alike. Also, if you tend to breakout easily, you shouldn't have a problem either. I tend to have problem areas with breakout from various products, but I didn't have any problems with this makeup. It has a very slight fragrance, but it is pleasant and not really noticeable.
There are a couple of downsides though, just as with nearly everything. First, unless you have used her products before you may not know which color to choose because there are no testers. This really is more like an inconvenience since most stores will let you return an item if you don't like it anyway. The second problem would be that sometimes the pump doesn't pump easily and you get too much product. I think this tends to happen in a lot of products with a pump, so don't count out using it just because of this. And finally, if you are a woman of color or have a dark complexion, you may not be able to find a shade to match your skin tone. Since it can be hard to find the perfect match for your skin at times anyway, having a limited color range won’t help in your search. Currently there are only 6 shades available, but hopefully this will be expanded in the future.
Sonia Kashuk has done an overall good job with her entire makeup and brush line. I honestly can’t say that there is one product that she doesn't make well. After wearing her powder for a few years, I have to admit that I was blown away by the formulation of her foundation. Normally with foundation, as with many things, you tend to get what you pay for. But Sonia's Perfecting Liquid Makeup blows that saying out of the water.
