Guide Review - Review of KohGenDo Makeup Color Base
KohGenDo is a cosmetic company from Japan. They have made their mark on the industry by selling their products to the film and TV, as well as to the general public for 22-years. Currently they are branching out to the US, where they have already been used in various TV and film productions.
When I was recently contacted by the CEO for KohGenDo's US operations, I was excited to hear that their products were all high definition based makeup. The Makeup Color Base is available in three colors; green, yellow, and white. All three contain moisturizing ingredients, such as silk powder. All three also offer sun protection with an SPF16 in each one.
They sound great, but how well did they work? The yellow Color Base worked wonders under my eyes on my dark circles, especially when my allergies were flaring up and giving me raccoon eyes. I also tried the yellow on red areas of my face, such as around my nose, and it immediately evened out the tone of my skin without looking apparent. I then tried the green Color base on the back area of my jaw line that has some dull spots. The green blended nicely, corrected the dullness, and didn't leave me looking like I was getting ready for a Halloween party. The white Color Base worked well on the area of my nose where I tend to have more enlarged pores. The Color Base seemed to minimize the appearance of my enlarged pores, yet didn't stay white or chalky on my skin.
Overall I liked all three of the colors in the Makeup Color Base formula. They felt light and moisturizing on my skin, and lasted all day without breaking through my foundation or looking funny. The bottom line is that with KohGenDo's color correctors you don't have to be afraid of trying to correct any imperfections in your skin. Plus, with the added SPF16, you are giving your skin even more sun protection.
