Guide Review - Review of Maybelline Mineral Power Collection
After trying Maybelline's Mineral Power Naturally Luminous Blush and loving it, I knew I had to try the rest of their collection. After contacting Maybelline New York for samples, they arrived and I was in heaven. The really great part about their foundation is that you can get mineral powder or mineral liquid. After testing both twice, they both gave the same great coverage, went on smoothly, and didn't leave my skin looking dry or cakey.
One of my two favorite items was the Natural Perfecting Concealer. I always struggle finding a good drugstore concealer, so I was excited when the results of testing the Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer turned up positive. The concealer gave good coverage, went on easily, didn't streak or cake, and didn't accentuate the fine lines around my eyes. My second favorite product was the Finishing Veil Pressed Powder. The powder comes in a wonderful little compact that has a hidden mirror and sponge applicator underneath. I loved the feel and look of the powder and found that it's not only great as a finishing veil, but also as a powder by itself if you are in a hurry or need a touch up.
Finally, the Mineral Power Blush was very natural, light, didn't streak, and gave a wonderfully "I just went for a jog" look. I tried Soft Mauve and loved it, but it is also available in four other shades as well. Overall the entire Mineral Power Collection is a definite must-have. So the bottom line here is that if there is only one mineral makeup set you can purchase this year, save yourself the time and money and go with Maybelline's Mineral Power Collection.
