Encircle the Eyes

Encircle the eye with the dark shadow from Step 5

After applying the general eyeshadow on your lids only, now you will use it to encircle the entire eye. What we mean by this is that you will apply the eyeshadow in a circle almost, all the way up to your brow bone and then slightly under the eye area. The inside corner should be applied sparingly, especially if you have bad darkness there, and the outside should be swept outward and upward just like the eye liner.

To make the under eye area look smokey instead of dark and bruised, use your eyeshadow brush to gently brush back and forth under the eye area as close to the lashes as you can get. This will blend the color and allow it to creep outwards a little bit, but it won't allow it to look like you've been punched in the eye. Once you are done, step back and make sure that both sides are even and look the way you envisioned.
