The final smokey eye should be smokey yet pretty, and can also be shimmery or even colorful. In this final photo we show the blue/green shimmer on the right side and a silver-taupe shimmer on the left. The right side was from Step 7, and on the left side we used Bare Minerals eyeshadow in Disco all over the general eyeshadow from lash line to brow bone and even under the eye and in the corners.
This smokey eye tutorial was a basic how-to on getting a good smokey eye look with some shimmer added. We did not over emphasize under the eyes, but you can extend the smokey shadow much further than what is shown here. Basically you should go with what you think looks great because you are the one wearing it. And as we all know, if you like the way something looks on you then you will be more confident and it will show.
