Perfect Holiday Gifts: Beauty Books

This is Bobbi Brown's newest addition to her set of beauty manuals and books. It was actually just release in December, and has gotten some really great reviews so far. This book would be perfect for the people on your list that have everything, since it's a new publication it's a safe bet that they may not have it yet. And besides, who doesn't love Bobbi Brown and her techniques for the everyday woman?

Carmindy, the makeup artist from TLC's "What not to Wear" has done a fabulous job on this new beauty book. This book is perfect for anyone, no matter how little or how long they have been wearing makeup. As an added bonus, Carmindy also offers up some self-help affirmations to help boost self esteem levels.

Making Faces was one of the first great makeup books in my library. When Kevyn Aucoin came out with Making Faces it was as if it were the lost coveted makeup Bible, finally brought to the light for all to see. Basically this is a wonderful book for the makeup artist on your gift list, or even the aspiring artist.

Eve Pearl is a wonderful makeup artist, and after reading this book you may also think of her as a makeup magician. Who wouldn't want to tackle the outcome of plastic surgery without having to actually have it? This ingenious book is perfect for those on your list that are starting to feel a little "older", or even the ones already thinking about a lunch-break Botox.

A black book sounds mysterious and when you add in the fact that they are beauty secrets from Hollywood, then sign me up! Who wouldn't want to grab a hint or two from the beautiful and flawless starlets in Tinsel Town? This book would be perfect for the teen to 30's group since the starlet appeal is still a strong influence with them. Look out Paris because you're about to have mainstream competition.

Who doesn't love Sephora, so when they came out with " Sephora: The Ultimate Guide to Makeup, Skin, and Hair from the Beauty Authority", it seemed as though everything was complete. This is a perfect gift for the makeup junkie on your Christmas list, or perhaps the person that needs a clue with what makeup is and how it works.

What a great book to have to help you not only recognize your problems but fix them too. The "Makeover Guy" offers a practical and easy to follow tips on how to target problem areas and fix common mistakes. If you have a woman on your gift list 45 and older, then this is a must-read for them and would make the perfect gift for the season.

Everyone is going nuts over ingredients and natural makeup, so why not offer some guidance with this great Natural Beauty Recipe Book? This book would be ideal for the greenie on you list, and who knows you may inspire them to create their own natural makeup line.

Allure magazine is one of my favorite fashion and beauty magazines. So when the beauty editor for Allure came out with " Allure: Confessions of a Beauty Editor", I just had to read it. This book is a great gift for any makeup enthusiast, but it would be perfect for the teenage makeup divas.

This wonderful little book was part of my library a few years ago. It's chocked full of very easy to follow tips and tricks. "Woman's Face" would be an ideal gift for the 20-something and older on your list that isn't quite sure of how makeup works and where to use it.
