Guide Review of C.O. Bigelow Lemon Lip Balm
I love when you’re shopping at the mall for one thing, but you find a really great bargain and must-have as well. That’s what happened recently while I stopped in at the local Bath and Body Works for a Liplicious Lip Gloss and tin of rosebud salve. Since they were having a buy two get one free sale I decided to grab a new lip balm as well. Instantly I was drawn to the C.O Bigelow Lemon Lip Balm, and I’m glad I was because I absolutely love it! Why do I love it? Well, let’s find out, shall we?
As with all new products I made sure to test the product on multiple days with time off in between, just in case there would be an allergic reaction from an ingredient. Well there was no reaction, so that was a good start. There were so many good things about this lip balm that I don’t know which is my favorite. Normally with lip balms the flavor isn’t exactly true-to-taste, but not with this one. When they say "lemon", they actually mean real lemon ingredients which give you an out-of-this-world lemon flavor. Think of lemon meringue or a really good glass of lemonade.
Flavor wasn’t the only plus though. The ingredients used were very natural, minus a couple, but most listed were oils. The mixture of oils, shea butter, and beeswax gives the lip balm a really silky and luxurious feel on your lips. I found myself applying it multiple times during the day when I noticed my lips without moisture, which fixed the problem right away. After using the lemon lip balm for several days my lips actually looked and felt healthier as well, which also meant less dryness during the day.
The package was nice and bright, and the price was really good. Normally the price is around $7.50, but you can find a sale at Bath and Body Works often so you can get it for less. As a bonus it’s also made in the USA, and they do not perform any animal testing either. Overall I absolutely love this lip balm and can’t wait to go back and stock up on more during their next sale. The only negative was the missing SPF, but since it has so many other good properties I’m willing to look over the lack of sunscreen. The only other negative would be if you absolutely do not like lemon. If that’s the case then this one’s not for you.
Bottom Line on C.O. Bigelow’s Lemon Lip Balm
It’s addictive, super lemony, and feels like silk on your lips. Need I say more?
