Another Mineral Makeup Heads-Up

So I have been vigorously pushing through the different mineral makeup lines. Last week I gave you the reviews of the "big dog" Bare Minerals, as well as the super affordable, yet natural, Everyday Minerals. The latest mineral makeup to make it across my face is from Simply Karen. If I had to rank the three mineral makeup lines today, Simply Karen would be in the middle. There is a couple reasons for this, one being it does cost more than Everyday Minerals, and you can find the other reason in the full Review of Simply Karen Mineral Makeup Kit.

I have been wanting to try the mineral makeups, but so many out there from $10 & up. Anyone tried the Maybelline line? Also on over 50 skin??? Does this cake up??? I hate liquid foundations.

Also, how can you get these “free samples” without subscribing to tons of junk mail??? It takes 15 minutes to get through all the surveys for just 1 item!

Hi Kat –
One of the better more affordble mineral makeup lines I have tried so far is Everyday Minerals. The down side is having to buy it online only, but they do have a good return policy. As for Maybelline’s mineral wear, I am actually getting ready to test it out this week sometime. So keep an eye out for my review within a week or so. I have never tried their line, so I am anxious to do so.

And almost all mineral makeup is great for women of any age. Whether you have minimal lines or heavier wrinkles, most mineral makeup will “float” on the lines and wrinkles, instead of making them more prominent.

And freebies can be tricky at times. Walmart, even though some people don’t like them, tend have give great samples online with no strings. Also there are some sites listed in my “Freebies and Giveaways” section that don’t list the soliciting freebies.

Thanks for stopping in and keep an eye out for more mineral makeup reviews this week, as well as some info on HD makeup, and the new Lauren Hutton makeup line (for women over 40).
